Home Hardware was started in 1974 in Souris, PEI. Home Hardware Canada was only 10 years old at the time and is a cooperative of dealer owned stores. The former Mackenzie garage, was the site of the first Home Hardware.  In 1983 the store was moved to the Main Street Mall.

Following a Mall expansion, the Home Hardware moved to its current location in 1990.  In 1998 the local building supply company was bought and Home Hardware became a building supply center.

Serving the hardware and building supply needs of residents of Souris and surrounding areas, Main Street Home Hardware and Building Center also offers delivery from East Point to west of Charlottetown and all points in between. 

Home Hardware offers home design services, an excellent line of home decor items, furniture and more.
